About Geraldine Cameron
Living and working in Miami, Florida, I have had the opportunity to learn so much in my field. I have worked for the last 6 years in public schools, serving Miami-Dade County Public Schools. I have taught kindergarten and first grade and served as an interventionist for k-5th grade levels. I am ESOL endorsed and hope to become Spanish endorsed as well. Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of been trained by a number of educational professionals, which means I’ve had many different experiences that have built me into the skilled professional I am today. I’m currently working on my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Florida International University. Elementary School Teacher
I am an Elementary school teacher in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. I am certified to teach for k-6th. I have ESOL endorsement and hope to have Spanish endorsement by the end of this year.

Responsibilities
I have been in charge of classes of up to 25 children 5-7 years old. I have been responsible for managing and documenting the children's learning growth, development, and assisting students by providing community and other resources when needed. As a teacher I have worked with students an other teachers in putting school activities to promote learning. I have organized Dr. Seuss Day, Math Bowl, Holiday shows, Orientations, Open House, etc. etquickly.
Team Leader
As a Lead teacher, I have had the pleasure of working with my teaching team to promote and analyze student learning gains and trends. I have worked with my team to organize events, and with my leadership team to construct and evaluate our School Improvement Plan and evaluate the effectiveness and response to professional development and other interventions. I have also worked as a liaison with our community involving our Police Department for Blue Ribbon Week.

I have worked for over 5 years with students between the ages of 5-8 in small and large group settings. I use positive reinforcement to promote learning and motivate wanted behaviors. I have had a fantastic experience working with parents and volunteers.
