How this thinking routine helped me?

What always surprises me about these thinking routines are the effect it has on your own understanding. I used to see these as proofs of my own understandings... like evidence...but NOOOOO... these thinking routines are much more than that!!! They actually help you understand it better, they help you make connections, they help you make sense.
